MRISB is equipped with the latest and most innovative computerised testing equipment to keep in step with the state-of-the-art production of lead and its alloys. Our equipment provide us with fast and accurate analytical results for various lead-based and tin-based alloys. The Direct Reading Emission Spectrometer enables us to monitor our refining and alloying processes on-line, whilst our computerised Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer and chemical laboratory allows us to perform detailed analysis on trace elements right down to ppm levels. Our metallurgical laboratory conducts intensive research on the physical properties of various alloys.
