Battery Breaking Operation.
MRISB's modern Battery Breaking Operation ensures that the optimum quantity of lead is recovered from a spent lead-acid battery. Plastic recovery from battery casings are an integral part of this operation. To ensure that this operation does not endanger the environment as well as to conserve water, the process water is treated and recycled constantly. Effluent discharge, if any, are controlled to meet the requirements of the Environment Quality Act 1974.

Smelting Operation.
In compliance with the Malaysian Clean Air Act, flue gases from our metal recovery operation undergo a cleansing regimen in a fabric filter plant before discharging through a stack.

Alloying and Casting Operations.
The alloying process is controlled on-line through the use of the Direct Reading Emission Spectrometer. Subsequently, the findings are confirmed through alternative analytical methods such as wet analysis and the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The analytical methods employed for the wet analysis includes American Standard Testing Methods (ASTM) and British Standard Methods (BS).

After approval is received from the laboratory, the alloy is automatically cast and stacked in bundles of forty two ingots each.
