Recycling activities

Lead wastes.

At MRI we recycle lead in all forms and from all sources. Among them are:

· Lead-acid batteries from all sources (standby. UPS, traction, automotive, etc).
· Lead wastes (sludge and rejects) from lead-acid battery manufacturing plants.
· Lead wastes from cable manufacturing plants.
· Lead oxides from litharge manufacturing plants.
· Lead scrap from general industries and chemical plants.
· Lead scrap such as wheel weights, fishing weights, counter-weights, sheets and foils.
· Frit glass wastes from CRT manufacturing plants.

Solder wastes.

At MRI we also recycle tin and solder in all forms and from all sources. Among them are:

  • Solder wastes (solder dross, sludge, expired solder creams and anode stumps) from electronic components and equipment manufacturing plants.
  • Solder and tin plating wastes (solder and tin sludge and anode stumps) from electro-plating plants.
  • Solder wastes (solder dross and sludge) from automotive radiator manufacturing plants.

Waste containers.

The DOE licenses us to recycle containers contaminated with hazardous wastes.

Among the types of containers we recycle are:

  • Used solder cream containers and syringes.
  • Used frit glass containers.
  • Scrapped lead oxides and chemical containers.
